When I hear members of Congress wanting to reduce food stamps here in the U.S. I often think, "What are these members thinking?" Because without food stamps in the present way the world is job wise all they would be doing is to increase is the amount of people in jail who have no other choice but to either beg on the streets or resort to crime to eat and to stay alive.
When members of Congress talk seriously about reducing Food Stamps all I can think of is that they must like having a higher and higher percentage of U.S. citizens in Jail. Because that is the most likely outcome. And what is really crazy about all this is I know it costs at least 100,000 dollars per year per person in Prison. So, Food stamps is an incredible bargain in comparison in actuality.
When members of Congress talk about reducing food stamps it reminds me of someone driving their nice car into the poorest section of town and then rolling all the windows down and leaving the keys in the ignition while they get out of the car and walk away on business. Same result. Someone will be going to jail.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
