US ambassador among four dead – Reuters

Reuters, citing a Libyan official, says the US ambassador died in the Benghazi attack, along with three other embassy staff.

To say all this is very suspicious is an understatement. For example, why wasn't the U.S. Ambassador protected by his Marine Guards? Why didn't Libyan Government troops protect the compound better? There are more questions than there are answers regarding these attacks in Egypt and Libya.

Or, is this more a part of the volatile situation regarding Syria, Iran, Egypt, Turkey and at this point all middle eastern nations?
