The 1968 Democratic Convention was a nightmare for Democrats because it lost the election to a Republican because of what happened, Richard Nixon. And you all know how well that turned out when Nixon had to resign in his 2nd term.
But, the Viet Nam War and the protestors were dealt blows and worse by the Police during the convention and many were bloodied on camera or off and some likely died of their billy club wounds as well as being kicked by the police.
So, the Democratic Convention was a nightmare not only for Democrats but for the whole country.
And I worry that the Democratic Convention tomorrow might be the same thing only with demonstrators angry at the way Palestinians have been treated since October 7th which is true they have been treated like they had no rights at all to live.
However, the world will have to wait and see what happens this week to know for sure where it all is going to go.
