When you think about it there is ONLY life. To be specific death could be defined as:
"The cessation of life within a physical body"
So, the state we call death is only "The absence of life present in a physical form".
But, death as such does not really exist at all the way we tend to think of it.
So, to be afraid of death is like being afraid of bogeyman coming out from under your bed when you are a child.
It is simply being afraid of the unknown and unrealistic.
So, the solution is to embrace death the way you embrace life.
Many men when I was growing up were afraid of women.
I was not. Why?
Because the women in my life: (my mother, my grandmothers, my aunts) had always been nice to me.
However, men and boys, that was an entirely different thing.
My father had me have all my front teeth pulled out when they were rotten without novacaine when I was 4.
My father gave me an olive to eat off a tree which as you know are poisonous before they are treated and soaked in I believe salt and other things.
My friend shot me with a BB gun which left a purple mark on my leg the size of a 50 cent piece through my jeans.
My friend peed in a bubble up bottle and told me it was bubble Up and I drank some before I spit it out.
Men and boys might hurt you or get you dead because that's just how they were and are.
But, women I wasn't afraid of (even though in my early 20s sometimes I should have been afraid of some women I dated because they almost killed me.) But that's another set of stories.
The point is I always embraced the women in my life and the men and boys in my life I always kept my distance so I could stay alive and survive them all.
The byword I still laughingly use: "All men are bastards and God help me I am one!"
The point is you have to embrace death like you embraced life all your life or you simply are living in fear of a bogeyman that doesn't really exist at all.
Embrace life always and if you have to embrace death the way you once embraced life!
God Bless You!
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
