In the same way the President elect never prepared to be president by not putting his businesses into some kind of order into an actual blind trust where he legally actually could be an ethical president, the Republicans in the House seem to be following his disorder and complete lack of ethics by doing away with a neutral ethics committee which will make impropriety easier to get away with (at least for Republican House Members) since no one is going to be minding the store so to speak regarding ethics on the Republican side of the House now.
This is the problem of appearing to be a corrupt President elect like Trump now appears to be by all his actions and inactions in every single way. So, his actions have made the House Republicans think it is okay not to be ethical too thereby spoiling fairness in our Government in both the Executive and Legislative branches before he even is inaugurated president.
