Both understand each other because each in their own way are ultimately ruthless and throwbacks to another era like the early 1900s or the late 1800s.
Both are practitioners of what I would call "Ultimate Ruthlessness" in both business and government.
In other words there is never any competition really at all because there is no quarter given to anyone. There is no fair playing field for competition or really any competition at all because of the way both men operate in their lives.
Truth and ethics are never a part of their game plan because they say whatever suits them. It is not based upon the truth ever, it is based entirely upon the results. So, Say anything but do what you can to create what you want.
The Ends justify the means and you never tell anyone what your Ends are going to be because often you don't know yourself until you get there.
No wonder so many billions on earth are scared and surprised constantly by both of them.
