    • I can remember watching this in the 1950s with my mother and grandmother on Television likely after we got our first black and white TV in 1954 when I was 6 years old. Then I lived in Tujunga and went to Pinewood School for first and 2nd Grade there.
Color TVs were not worth having until around 1960 to 1964 when color got good but there still was no HD level quality unless you went to a movie theater. VCR's so you could video tape things on TV started around 1980 to 1982 here in the U.S. Cable TV, especially for outlying areas all over the country really started to get going by the 1960s and 1970s. Before then it was common for remote places to either have no TV reception at all or just one or two stations. The major networks were ABC, NBC and CBS. Most places you couldn't get anything but one of the 3 or if you were really lucky 2 of the 3 or 3 of the 3.
