In the 1950s Frisbees (throwing ufo shaped discs that you throw for fun) and hula hoops(both at that time only made by Whamo who started them in 1950s became a normal part of life in the 1960s 1970s and 1980s and ever since.
Yesterday I watched a neighbor young man ride back from the beach on a single thick wheeled electric powered skateboard with tail lights right by me at about 15 to 20 miles per hour and waved to him because I had seen him do this before when he rides the mile down hill and up hill to and from the beach on his electric one wheeled skateboard.
IN 1960 I saw my first skateboard that someone was riding to school which was then a 2by 4 1 foot long piece of wood (stud) nailed to a single metal skate separated into two. this at first created some pretty bad falls because of the lack of friction on sidewalks and roads and how small the wheels were at first made of metal.
But, now you see all sorts of different versions including the electric one wheeled kind my neighbor has.
The same is true of all Drones and robots. You have no conception at present the things people will program and design into drones and robots both for good and ill over the years now. But, you might not hear about this because the worst of it will be small drones dropping hand grenades or shooting machine gun fire on civilians worldwide especially in 3rd world nations.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
