I needed an escape after the destruction of Texas around Houston and most of Florida by storms. I think most people feel sort of confused by all the mayhem around them as Americans. Storms like this are completely no surprise to people like myself who have studied global warming and ocean temperatures. Likely worse storms will hit this year and into the future as the waters grow warmer and warmer also worldwide.
However, it doesn't stop us from feeling upset just like we might tell someone "Don't Drive that car or motorcycle because it's unsafe" when someone dies from actually doing that we are going to be upset rather than "I Told you so!" because they are just dead.
Knowing what is coming doesn't stop you from feeling bad for all those who didn't listen to you when they are harmed or die.
So, I found Orville (though silly) a useful escape from reality last night and my wife felt the same way.
Can you imagine trying to run a space ship with your ex-wife?
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
