Are Xi's enemies purging Xi from the leadership post in China?

The way all this has gone so publicly, it cannot but be a slap in the face of Xi in China the way all this has played out on the world stage. Though Xi has been elected in for life as President of China, one wonders whether the way this has gone whether his enemies are trying to purge him through this present loss of face.

So, something entirely different than we see here in the U.S. might be going on in China.
