Prince Charles will be at George H.W. Bush's funeral.
Clarence House announced on Tuesday that the heir to the British throne will travel to Washington D.C. with wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, for the late 41st United States president's funeral service, which is set for Wednesday.
"The Prince of Wales will attend the state funeral of former U.S. President George H.W. Bush," the tweet announcement read. "The service will take place tomorrow at The National Cathedral in Washington."
"The Prince will be representing Her Majesty The Queen," it added.
The announcement comes three days after Queen Elizabeth
released a statementin response to the former president's passing at the age of 94 on Friday, November 30, 2018.

"It was with sadness that I learned of the death of President George H W Bush last night," she said. "President Bush was a great friend and ally of the United Kingdom. He was also a patriot, serving his country with honour and distinction in Office and during the Second World War."

Bush's body is currently lying in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, where it will be until Wednesday morning before it's transported uptown to the National Cathedral. After his funeral, it will be flown back to Houston.
