Writing

 If you write about things you know something about it will be more obvious to people if and when they read what you have written that you are more knowledgeable on a certain subject. However, if you are writing fantasy where these rules don't always apply often you can just go with it.

However, what I write is what is often called: "Hard fiction" which simply means the writer doesn't expect you to believe what he or she has written but that he or she often believes what they have written.

So, in some ways what I have written is sort of my own personal "Bible" of how the universe actually operates.

One of my rude awakenings was to see when I soul traveled to the galactic Core just how different the Galactic Government was than anything I could have ever imagined here on earth.

I had a similar experience going to India and Nepal where I had to realize that literally nothing was the same the way people believed and functioned in India and Nepal compared to what life was like in the U.S.

So, all the things I had believed that people (the common people) actually thought and valued were actually wrong. 

Many people exposed to New Age thinking project their American or Western Thoughts on India and Nepal but it really isn't that way at all. (At least it wasn't that way in 1985 and 1986 when I was there).

So, it was a very rude awakening for me. 

What surprised me the most?

That Spirituality is a Technology sort of like how cars and planes operate. It's true that compassion and kindness is a part of it but mostly it is at core a Technology.

And people who understand this often live there and those that don't often die there young.

This was very hard for me to see in person then in 1985 watching so many people die or be maimed as I traveled through the countries of India and Nepal with my family. This experience changed me for life in many different ways but it also made me more pragmatic and realistic in all aspects of my life.
