Drove from Boerne, Texas to Austin today

It was an interesting day. On the one hand our friends gave us a much faster route traveling freeway most of the way back to Austin Today. On the other hand the Apple GPS a friend installed in our rental car (that we could not find a way to shut off the voice wouldn't reroute on the route we were taking. So, basically every street we came to it would say to get off the freeway or highway we were on all the way back to Austin which was incredibly annoying because I could find no way to shut off the voice during the 2 hour trek back to Austin From Boerne. So, there was a lot of swearing in the car when the volume on the radio dial wouldn't shut off the voice and because I was not familiar with this system I couldn't find a way to shut off the voice either without tracking down the fuses to the audio system and pulling the fuse or fuses or whatever I needed to do to shut up the voice of the GPS from doing that.

However, I used my Iphone directly to put my blue dot on my screen to know exactly where we were and to route is directly myself avoiding all bad traffic all the way back to our hotel room in Austin. The way between Boerne and Austin is a lot of Oak Trees over slowly rolling hills all the way back into Austin where the city sort of takes over from the never ending oak and other trees forest.

I was told not to drive back last night from Boerne simply because there is so much wildlife here with everything from porcupines to Armadillos and dead deer all over the roads that they said don't ever drive long distances at night in this part of Texas because of this. And it's true there are a lot of wide open  Green spaces where there is water and likely food of all kinds for wildlife. So, you have to be very careful about driving anywhere at night even in the summer (or especially in the summer between large cities especially where it is forests and rivers everywhere.

After we arrived and rested up some we met our daughter after work and went to a nice Korean Restaurant with her.
