place where we are staying has a lot of old movies on Cable TV here
Our 3rd grandchild arrived Thursday here in San Diego County where we are now staying. The Air BnB house we are renting has a lot of old movies and TV programs on TV like Monk and the Rifleman and movies like McLintock(1963) with John Wayne and Stephanie power and Maureen O'Hara. So, it reminds me a lot of when I was growing up from about 1954 when we got our very first black and white TV and around 1960 when we bought our first color TV (because they weren't any good until about 1960). So, by the time Star Trek came on on TV in the later 1960s we were ready for that and before that "Bonanza, The Virginian, and other TV programs like Ozzie and Harriet and then Ricky Nelson became a famous singer until he crashed in his private plane trying to get to a concert he was playing in.
So, it's been interesting staying here not far from where I lived when I was going to Palomar College around 1970 to 1973 around there. Lots of memories here including getting together with my first wife in Long Beach and San Diego here as well as Palos Verdes where my best friend then who was going to UCLA from about 1969 to 1976 when he got his master's degree there too.
So, lots of memories body surfing at places like Moonlight Beach in Encinitas and Swamis next to SRF retreat center and La Jolla Beach and the cove there with great snorkeling and big Orange Garibaldi fish which lived here then and might still.
Here's what is says about the Garibaldi giant Gold Fish:
