Because the less discernment you have the less your audience is usually going to be over time. You have to think about the fact of who is interested in your blog? How diverse are they around the world?
In the case of this international blog that can be translated into likely 70 languages or more through Google Translate located to your right near the top of the page the audience can be very very diverse indeed worldwide.
Having traveled a lot outside of the U.S. in both Asia and Europe and other places I tend to have a sense about what might interest people all around the world more than someone who might have never been anywhere even outside of their home state or city.
I was watching "Green Book" last night and "Tony" the guy from the Bronx I believe speaks about never having been much outside of the Bronx his whole life. So, when he goes across the Great Plains he is amazed just how green it is and how amazing our country is.
When you travel across the U.S. or around the world meeting people you get an entirely different perspective of how most of the world is.
Most of the world isn't like the U.S. at all in any way, shape or form.
Most of the time when I come back to the U.S. it is sort of like coming back to "Disneyland" compared to the rest of the world.
America is not normal and is not the norm of the world even though until Trump most of the world wanted their countries to be more like America where presidents used to be more honest than in other countries.
Whereas Trump is just as dishonest at most leaders like Putin and Kim Jong Un. But at least he hasn't started killing Americans (even though foreigners are dying like flies from his orders around the world) (Which is why he doesn't want the civilian casualties to be listed anymore in Drone strikes.
