Santa Barbara
We left the SF Bay Area yesterday for a couple of days break down to Santa Barbara. It's supposed to be raining today in the SF Area but here in SB it is sunny. The weather driving down was beautiful. It was green from the El Nino never ending rain since December all over California. The wild grasses and flowers were often 3 feet or more high everywhere and the cattle were happy all along 101 heading south. The ocean was beautiful in places like Pismo Beach and the last section of 101 just before you get to Santa Barbara after the Tunnel on the northbound lanes. So, it was a nice trip away from the expected Storms in San Francisco and the surrounding areas. Once again before I left I removed all the deck chairs and put them in the yard to make sure that winds won't blow them into our sliding doors on the deck. It's nice that the weather is warming up some places too. We had temperatures of 70 to 73 degrees Fahrenheit from about Paso Robles South all the way to San Luis Obispo which was nice along with the flowers and greenery. Some people stopped their cars to take pictures of Wild poppies and Wild mustard Grasses. The poppies are golden orange and Wild Mustard is a really bright yellow that filled many fields with color. Also, the purple Lupine is also coming out a lot here in late March as well.
