Right now is about 11:40 pm January 5th PST here in the Greater San Francisco Bay area, even where I am it is going down to 37 tonight which is about as cold as it gets (lowest likely 33 or 32 so far this year). I took the dogs out tonight for the night and felt the cold cut through me like a knife compared to the sunny low 50s it was today. It was about 41 then when I checked the temperature. The dogs didn't want to stay outside very long. I've noticed that the higher the humidity here on the coast the more the cold cuts through you. The humidity is very high along the coast right now because of the almost constant rain except for today and tomorrow then rain here and snow in the mountains once again starting Friday night or Saturday. The higher the humidity along the coast the more the cold cuts through you.
This is why Mark Twain once said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco".
Because "The June Glooms" (fog high and low) can make it as cold as winter then along the northern Coast. This summer the June Glooms lasted well into August 2016 which is very unusual also.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
