This would make a lot more sense if this were true regarding the way Trump speaks about Putin. So, maybe Trump HAS been compromised and therefore not capable (because of blackmail) of being inaugurated President.
IF this were true, Trump may resign even before he is inaugurated and likely Pence would become president which would be a relief to a whole lot of people in the U.S. and around the world. Because the nation might fare better with Pence as president rather than Trump.
However, even this is "Up in the Air" at present.
