Snow and ice from Red Bluff north and East from Sierras everywhere
This is supposed to be the worst storm to hit California in the last 10 years regarding Atmospheric River Storms or "Pineapple Express" Storms as we call them locally because they usually come from the vicinity of Hawaii in Atmospheric rivers this time of year (December through April). This is just a really big one. I'm seeing rain coming down from around San Diego north to Portland Oregon so this is a really big storm but the ice and snow north of Red Bluff and from the Sierras east everywhere is going to cause anyone traveling in these areas a lot of problems. We are having constant winds and rains with constant 21 mph or greater winds with gusts up to 40 to 50 miles per hour and because the ground is saturated from previous storms every week now trees are starting to come down from the winds and rain. In the forests near me the streams are all running now which is good for all the life in the forests except where it might get excessive and cause erosion which is also sort of normal for this time of year.
