Because he does things that allow him to be blackmailed by Putin and others worldwide including Americans. And he has no problem lying because "lying is 2nd nature to Trump like to a Used Car Salesman".
As a result he corrupts our democracy and tends to begin to create a fascist state in his corrupting influence as president.
However, if our democracy falls it isn't Trump that is to blame it is all Americans if we don't stop him.
It is the responsibility of the electorate to prevent tyranny in ANY democracy.
