The 14th Amendment

 I was listening to CNN today and someone or some group of Conservatives and Independents is suing for Trump to be taken off the Ballot in Colorado because of the 14th Amendment clause that Insurrectionists cannot run for public office. It's not just they cannot run for president, they also cannot run for ANY office in any Federal or State Government in the 50 states or the District of Columbia. One man in New Mexico has already been taken off the ballot legally already because of the 14th Amendment.

I heard Legal Scholars, a very famous and respected Judge and the head of the Law Department at Harvard talk about the 14th Amendment in regard to Trump and they said that each state will decide whether Trump can run on their ballot or not. So, quite likely Blue States will not have Trump on the ballot next year and Red States might have Trump on the ballot next year. But, I'm not sure what will happen then.

The Colorado group chose Colorado First to take Trump off the Ballot because of the way Colorado laws Work in Colorado State law. The Attorney General of Colorado has the power to take anyone off the Ballot all by themselves without any court involved by the way. So, Colorado was carefully chosen because the state laws there are different than any other state in regard to things like the 14th Amendment.
