I haven't been listening to the Weather Channel so they might be talking about this.
However, my thought is that "NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO A HURRICANE IN WATERS AS WARM AS THIS!" And NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN WATERS as Warm as this before in the locations they are now this warm.
What does this means in reality?
It means that it would be possible for a hurricane to be a Category 6 or 7 or 8 potentially.
However, no one has ever seen this before and these categories don't even exist yet. However, this year and in years into the future they might because of constantly warming ocean Temperatures now and into the future.
After all, we haven't had a Hurricane like Hurricane Hilary hit California like it did this year too.
And no one was prepared for the Tropical Storm Hilary that decimated parts of California, Oregon, Idaho and points north and likely parts of Arizona and Nevada as well.
The last time California had a tropical storm was 1939.
