You can get the geodesic doggie balls at various sizes and prices.

 I highly recommend them for playing with your dogs. However, I think you might have to start them young at this because it might be hard to train an older dog regarding all this. When they are puppies they are the most ripe for this kind of fun and then they might do this with you the rest of their lives sort of like playing Frisbee with dogs too like the old days.
