this was December of 1985 through April of 1986. So, whenever we could we would buy something to cook tea and to boil water with to sterilize it so it was safe to drink. But, like I said before this water treated with this stuff really tasted terrible to the point that when we were traveling on buses or trains we often just drank Campa Orange soda which was India's version of Fanta Orange Crush because it tasted exactly like this. But, it was better drinking soda than that terrible tasting water. So, we drank these in place of water usually on buses and trains across India from Bodhgaya to Dharamshala back to Kathmandu, Nepal and into the Himalayas in order to better survive while there. They also had pottery cups for tea and Chai on the trains where you just threw the pottery cups on the train tracks and boys would come pick them up and make new cups with the broken pottery by grinding it up and using it again to make more disposible cups then in 1986 and 1985. Also, then it was all steam trains which was quite a treat to experience this then too.
