Radiation plume to hit Alaska Thursday and California Friday

PLUME OF RADIATION
Gregory Jaczko, the top U.S. nuclear regulator, cast doubt on efforts to cool overheating reactors, saying workers may be hit with "lethal doses" of radiation.
"It would be very difficult for emergency workers to get near the reactors," Jaczko said.
A United Nations forecast projects the radioactive plume from the Fukushima facility would reach the Aleutian Islands on Thursday and hit Southern California late on Friday, The New York Times reported.

Because of this I have asked my wife not to by any milk, fish, meats after this date until all the reactors are cemented in place to seal the radiation there within 6 months. I have already purchased iodine tablets for my family to start taking at that time to lessen the chance of Thyroid cancer as well as other types caused by radioactive iodine in the air.  Another type of cancer that starts with a human breast aureola which is another place iodine is stored in the body is both male and female breast cancer. The third place in the body that iodine is stored is in the sexual organs which might create various kinds of cancers of the sexual organs caused if exposed to enough  radioactive iodine in the air. Even though I don't think it likely (at this point) that one could get that in California, as the radiation increases almost every day now, from 6 reactors and cooling pools(Chernobyl was only 1 reactor), it is possible that cancers beginning in the next year could take place that might be caused in part by radiation exposure could be caused in the United States and all around the world.  If a plume didn't disperse and stayed intact like a bubble of radiation I suppose this could happen theoretically. However, generally the best precaution is to stop buying milk and meat in the next few weeks. My wife has said she will buy powdered milk that was prepared before Friday and might buy any meats before Friday. Since I am about a 95% vegetarian this doesn't affect me very much. However, not buying meat or anything that swims, flies, walks or crawls for food after Friday might be very difficult for some people. However, because dairy and all meats and fish so incredibly  concentrate the radiation in their flesh it is the wisest thing to do until ALL the Fukushima reactors and cooling pools have been encased in cement for about a week or two and the last radiation plume goes around the world.
