No government on earth can afford to tell people the full truth about radiation. The reason for this is that the economic crisis just from what has happened to Japan is affecting being able to get parts for literally almost everything that has electronics being made on earth. So, IPad2s can't be made, no automobile can be completed etc. etc. etc.
So, because of the direct economic affects now happening in the whole world no country including the U.S. will be completely forthcoming. So, radiation will harm some people all over the world and some will get cancer and die over the next few years. So, finding the truth might be up to private citizens sharing by buying geiger counters( local radiation testors) to test the air wherever people live on earth. Obama can't tell the truth about radiation because it would destroy the tourist business in Hawaii, his home state. So this limits what he can say. Because in the end perception is everything. For example, I personally wouldn't buy any car from Japan that was built since the Tsunami just on general purposes. So if you want one buy one made before the tsunami because you will not be able to trust ANY part of it not having been exposed to radiation if it was constructed after the tsunami date. You don't know where any of the parts were stored outside. So, just turning on your air blower in the car might put a particle of radiation in your lungs that might kill you within 20 years. NO one in any government can afford to tell the truth about this because it could throw the whole world's business industry into a real Great Depression everywhere. So, likely thousands to millions will die in Japan and elsewhere on earth in order to keep the economic health of the world alive. This is just the grim truth of what all of us are dealing with.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
