You May Live Forever

The caveat to this is: (If you wish to)

I am presently starting to fully realize what many told me before that I didn't fully believe yet. And the "You may live forever" is potentially true especially for those born after World War II. It is even more true for those born right now as we speak.

And, if we consider time travel to be a scientifically possible real technology that either has been invented or will be invented, it is also theoretically possible that anyone that anyone wants to could be reached with technology and also be made to live forever as well (if they wish to).

The (If they wish to) is a really big one, because, after all, if we don't respect the rights of anyone to say "No" to immortality then the whole thing of technological immortality falls apart now doesn't it.

My point of view is that it might take a lot of maturity to make this kind of choice. So, taking seriously any decision one way or another might need to be left to adult (18 or over) kinds of people. However, I think all children should be kept alive until they are adults by society if they are functional. And who in the end can make all these decisions but the children and the parents and the nations and their laws?

However, I'm becoming more and more aware that the capacity for physical immortality is quickly becoming available because of the exponential rate of technological innovation. Yes. That technology needs to be guided to benefit mankind and not to just extinct mankind. But if it can be accomplished then physical immortality might be possible, as well as a host of other possibilities for the human race. The potential is unlimited. The potential is literally infinite in what could actually be accomplished over time for all life on earth and beyond.
