Genghis Khan's relationship to Tibetan Buddhism

1.  I'm sharing this from one of the movies on Genghis Khan I watched. It appears that Tibetan Buddhism did well in Mongolia because of Genghis Khan. a Tibetan Buddhist monk talked to Genghis Khan while he was in a Tangut prison. He had this monk walk a long way to get word to his wife that he was in prison and to come rescue him. The monk kept his word because the monk was prescient and saw who Genghis Khan would become and wanted his help in keeping Tibetan Buddhism alive and spreading throughout the region. So, in reward to the monk he made Tibetan Buddhism his religion of his country and in revenge to the Tanguts, he ended their civilization for imprisoning him eventually.
