IF there ever was a war in the Republican party in my lifetime we are witnessing it here now. Hopefully, (except for a few people getting beat up here and there) it will remain bloodless now that Trump is likely the nominee on the first ballot. Will he get enough delegates to actually show up and vote for him though?
That is a completely different question as more and more of his delegates refuse to go to the convention at all.
So, will Trump be nominated with 1237 delegate votes?
Only if 1237 who are required to vote for him show up. And as this civil war fractures the party even more it is quite possible though he might earn 1237 delegate votes it is also quite possible that 1237 that might be his might not now show up at the actual convention.
So, what happens then?
