You have to have some technical knowhow to do this but not much different than you needing to navigate and use your computer. Also, in buying this kit likely you could ask questions to the company to find out things you need to know. So, I'm thinking if you are wanting to know more about 3D printing this might be a physical way to begin to understand this for yourself, your teenager or anyone maybe over 12 years old with some knowledge of computers and doing physical things like building things or making things. The sky is the limit as to what could be done with 3D printers at this point, Plastics, metals, DNA based materials, you name it but you have to start somewhere and this might be it if you want hands on knowledge about this field now and as it evolves worldwide.
Basically, I could see someone living remotely eventually with a multi-use 3d printer that could print either in plastic or metals through sintering, replacing any part to anything in their home or shop eventually with a multi-purpose 3d printer at a reasonable price. So, basically there would be no stores other than people who sold you raw materials and built your 3d printers. There wouldn't be stores, there wouldn't be big box stores, there wouldn't be a lot of things there are now because people could live remotely on solar or wind power and build almost anything they needed without leaving their garage where a multi-purpose 3d printer would be for personal custom manufacturing dishes, silverware, tools or whatever you needed to fix whatever you already had.
