One Russian Source described "having leverage over Trump's Inner circle" Otherwise known as "Blackmail"

(CNN)Russian government officials discussed having potentially "derogatory" information about then-presidential candidate Donald Trump and some of his top aides in conversations intercepted by US intelligence during the 2016 election, according to two former intelligence officials and a congressional source.
One source described the information as financial in nature and said the discussion centered on whether the Russians had leverage over Trump's inner circle. The source said the intercepted communications suggested to US intelligence that Russians believed "they had the ability to influence the administration through the derogatory information."
OPINION: Trump, home all alone

Russians discussed potentially 'derogatory' info, sources say

It appears from many articles that "This kind of" rhetoric by Russian "Agents" intercepted communications bragging about having information about Trump and his inner circle was one of the "dashboard warning lights" that affected the entire U.S. and European Intelligence community and made them question more everything that was and still is going on in regard to Russia and Trump's Inner Circle now and then. Because this sort of thing hasn't stopped in fact it likely has increased in intensity since Trump was inaugurated.

In fact, while Flynn was National Security Advisor for Trump a major leak of all of the CIA's computer data was lost and compromised. I'm thinking this was no accident of this happening just before Flynn was asked to resign as NSA to President Trump.
