Unless you grow 100% of your own food (and I have friends that grow 70% of what they eat) you cannot be 100% fossil free burning in relation to what you consume. However, if you are rich enough and live in an area where there is a lot of sun you can have a zero carbon imprint as least as far as driving your car and living in your home with solar cells on your roof filling all electrical needs for both home and car worlwide now. This lowers the cost of gasoline and diesel for everyone because those costs are based upon supply and demand. This also will allow humans to make plastic for a long time too and for now oil is the best way to make plastic still in most countries. So, by doing this you reduce the price of Gas and Oil and Diesel worldwide and you allow the human race to have plastic made from oil longer too into the future.
However, if it gets cold in winter you likely will have to burn something to stay warm at some point unless you have amazing insulation of some kind with solar powered electric fans to circulate air for you.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
