Since China in some ways is the most Capitalist (in a warlike way) country in the world (even more than the U.S.) I'm thinking that China (unlike Russia) wants Trump impeached and gone as soon as possible to go back to the status quo from before Trump. (If that is actually possible).
So, how would China play Chess with the U.S.?
It would be in China's interests to continue the Trade War with the U.S. (and resolve absolutely nothing) until after the 2018 elections. Why?
Because then Democrats would take over both the senate and the House, Trump would likely be impeached (for one reason or another) people (around him) likely including his daughter and son in law might be in jail (unless Trump pardoned them before he was impeached) (which he might do also). But, if China wants Trump gone from the Capitalistic world leader stage not resolving (ANYTHING) with the U.S. is likely what you are going to see now until after the 2018 elections are over and democrats have taken over the House and Senate.
Note: My perception is that China is now as Capitalistic in a warlike way as Germany and Japan were at the start of World War II.
From my point of view doing what Trump is doing is mostly to distract people from the things he is doing that he shouldn't be doing worldwide to make millions or billions of dollars through his companies around the world now.
The real problem as I see it is that thousands to millions in China and the U.S. will starve from the Tariffs because they will lose their jobs and starve before the end of next winter. The same is true of people in Russia, and North Korea and Iran starving from any economic sanctions against them too.
So Tariffs and sanctions are literally "The starving war" against the poorest in all these countries including our own. The problem is neither the Sanctions or the Tariffs will change the lifestyles of the richest leaders of ANY country. So, who starves to death and suffers here?
The poor in all these countries including our own.
