A Summer place came out in 1959 when I was 11 years old

I was 11 years old when this film came out and this movie likely scared me worse than any other movie I had ever seen (including horror movies) because she got pregnant out of wedlock which was a really bad thing in 1959 and many girls didn't physically survive this for one reason or another then. So, at 11 and unworldly in this very adult sense I was terrified when I watched this movie then. It still gives me the creeps to that young person I was then because this was just too much realism for me at that age. IT was a very real movie in this sense and not really fake because this sort of thing happened a lot then. So, it was horrifying to a young 11 year old then.
