Russia forbids soldiers from using cell phones while on duty

Why?

Russian soldiers were tracked to Ukraine by their GPS signals from their cell phones so nations could prove that Russian soldiers were fighting against Ukraine soldiers in Ukraine even though Putin said that no Russian Soldiers were there.

More nations like even the U.S. with Trump in power who kill people overseas might do this also even though most people are being killed by Trump with Hellfire missiles are with drones where the pilots are in the U.S. somewhere. Since most military personnel regarding drones would be in the U.S. except for those launching the drones from Aircraft Carriers or local 3rd world Airports only those overseas likely would not be allowed the use of cell phones while deployed. So, likely soldiers deployed outside of the U.S. might not be allowed to carry cellphones because of the potential for being tracked by their GPS signals at some point in the future.

Another reason for doing this is cell phones are also how drones track terrorists to send Hellfire missiles from drones to their exact locations worldwide. Soldiers could be blown up by drones in the same way anywhere on earth if they are carrying GPS trackable cell phones (which are all cell phones made on earth both regular and smart phones).

However, there is another way to look at this:

Some cell phones GPS still operates even with the battery removed as designed by some companies.

So, for safety what I would recommend is to allow soldiers to have cellphones where they could remove the battery so no GPS signal would be available to track. But, you would have to make sure the cell phone design didn't send a signal even with the battery removed for 24 hours or more first. Then by carrying the cell phone and the battery separately, in an emergency for the soldier or the unit, they could put the battery back in the cell phone and make an emergency call when someone was injured or the unit was in trouble worldwide.
