I hadn't seen the sun in Days with weather mostly on the northern California Coast of 50 degrees to 59 degrees Fahrenheit both day and night in this range. So, I had driven south on 101 from the Bay area to drive in the Sun (just to experience the sun again) this summer. So, I'm driving along and I see a Semi Truck's rear trailer with 1/4 of the visible back of the semi trailer painted with a Sikh with a Turban with a Halo Drawn around his head. I thought to myself: "Wow! This truck driver really thinks a lot of himself to have a picture of himself drawn with a halo around it looking out from the back of the trailer so large."
So, it took me around 3 hours to actually realize what this was: "This was likely the GURU of this Sikh Driver and he put the picture of his guru up there to protect him while driving this truck and to keep him safe. I was thinking about it wrong because this is a very India type of thing to do where you decorate your truck with who you worship and the things you believe in. This is what truckers do in India to more likely stay alive on the very dangerous roads there. I traveled on these roads in Northern India for about 2 months of the 4 months I was in Nepal and India. So, this likely is what was going on. It wasn't a picture likely of the driver himself but of his Sikh Guru viewed by his followers as a Saint with a Halo drawn around his head.
Here is more about the Sikh Religion which is a Universalistic religion which includes most other religions on earth (including Tibetan Buddhism) which I found interesting especially in Rewalsar, India which is a Padmasambhava Holy place in Tibetan Buddhism.
"Sikhs' believe in the Oneness of all beings and the equality of everyone". I also share this belief even though I'm not a Sikh. However, in India I found Sikhs generally to be the most educated and technical educated regarding their abilities of any East Indians I met in Northern India. (I used the term East Indians to separate from Native Americans also called Indians).
