Qaddhafi is just the latest in a long string of middle eastern tyrants historically for many thousands of years. He is nothing new. It's just that the Libyan people are tired of being killed, tortured and lied to by another one of history's "madmen" who kill and lie about it and make up history to suit their whims.
If the western nations can't follow through on their word to help the Libyan people they will lose face among all middle easterners and the world. If they step in Qaddhafi can then say, "See. The western nations want to steal our oil. Arise, Middle East against the foreign invaders, arise against the Crusaders stealing our oil and women and land."
However, on another level Qaddhafi is seen a lot like Saddam Hussein in Iraq and likely (sooner or later) will meet the same fate because of all nations on earth having turned against him. Everyone has now witnessed the successive execution of as many of his people as possible during all this. How many are now dead, tortured, have starved to death, been beaten to death and now are buried in shallow unmarked graves in the sand never to be found? We all know thousands and thousands already. So, what will the western powers do? If they do nothing at all they will never be trusted by anyone in the middle east ever again. If they extinct Qaddhafi they will be thought of as wanting his oil. What will be the outcome?
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
