The reason for this is the Republican Party is as confused and as disorganized as it has ever been.
Though Trump promised to help his less educated voters who voted for him, he is instead going to destroy any help medical or otherwise for them and they are sure to hate him and vote against him for not only not helping them but harming them incredibly in their lives making it easier for them to die and harder for them to stay alive at all.
So, what they were saying is the likelihood is that Trump will be voted out because of this and a Democrat taking his place in 2020. He is acting only like a War Hawk who is paranoid (which likely he is) and forgetting to help the little people in medical and social programs that keep many of them alive who voted for him. So, the rage will be incalculable against him in 2020 if he continues with this suicidal budget against his core voters.
