foreboding
When I wrote the above article I called "foreboding" it was March 12th. I'm writing this now on March 16th. I have during the night last night come to the conclusion that this situation in Japan is now 1000s of times worse both for Japan and the whole world than 9-11 was for the world.
Both nuclear weapons and nuclear power never were safe. The human race has just deluded itself into thinking that the cheap power obtained from nuclear power could be kept under control. Now we know it was only a matter of time for a disaster of this magnitude to unfold. And what of reactor number 3 that reprocesses nuclear weapons fuel? Will we see a puff of a mushroom cloud as it goes into another form?
I don't know the answer to this question. What I do know is that we are entering a new normal. Just like the last 10 years was the new normal of 9-11, this now begins the new normal of Fukushima and a new Japan and a new world where in some ways everything has changed in a much more extreme way than 9-11. It will take months and years for humans here on earth to sort it all out. But much of what people believed they now see wasn't ever true. Reality shatters concepts. A new normal has begun for earth.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
