Will the Suicide of the Republican Party cause the Death of America?

If you have ever run a business or even run the business of a household you know that what the tea party and Boehner are doing is insane from any business point of view. If you were Obama (or any President since George Washington) you could not do anything but what he is presently doing. You could not risk being blackmailed by a minority of any party in the U.S. The precedent must not be set.

Of all the Government shutdowns in history that I have studied since 1976 this is the most intractable and the most crazy and the least likely to have a solution in the short run or long run.

What we are looking  at here is  the Pride of the Republican party being at stake now. Boehner's job is over just like when Gingrich faced down Clinton. Clinton was re-elected in a landslide after the 1995 and 1996 debacle of Government shutdown. So, even though in purely Republican districts some Republicans were re-elected by the stance they took, they lost the Presidency and likely the same will be true of 2016 as a result of what the Republicans are doing now. What they have lost the most is Independent voters just like then. In 1996 Independents saw that the Republicans were not fit to govern and voted for Clinton en masse which is likely what will happen in 2016 after this debacle.

But, in the meantime will the good faith and credit of the U.S. still exist?

Obama just like every other president cannot allow himself or the country to be blackmailed for the same reason the country will not allow itself to be blackmailed by terrorists. It is very sad for our country that the Tea Party and Boehner have positioned themselves de facto as terrorists to our nation (and to the world) in these times.

So, once again the question is: "Will the full faith and credit of the U.S. still exist after this? And will our currency still be the most important currency in the world after this?"

These might be the two most important questions to ask ourselves.

Because the effects of this question likely will be: Are we going to still be a 1st world nation of incredible power and standing in the world or a 3rd world banana republic nation if and when this all ends?

The world is waiting patiently for now to find out which we will be.
