But, from my point of view as a Shaman since I was about 15 years of age when God came into my body instead of me physically dying, ESP isn't just about telepathy between humans it is the connection with all living things in the whole universe and this connection is instantaneous with everything in time and space and beyond time and space: Potentially.
It's just that some of us are opened up by God (especially in near death experiences) to the fullness of all of this.
There is a movie called: "Brother Sun Sister Moon" about Saint Francis of Asisi that perfectly describes the "Shamanic experience" when Saint Francis as a young man was transformed from a Knight fighting in a battle for his city in Italy through being wounded in battle and then PTSD into Saint Francis who eventually founded the Franciscan order of the Catholic church.
Saint Francis is a perfect example of what can happen through a near death experience that changes one's life into a life of God as a man here on earth.
So, ESP or telepathy or Spiritual Awareness of all life and God in the universe is a useful thing to have in life.
Why?
Because you can save lives (God is actually saving these lives through you) once you grow into learning how to use these faculties like Saint Francis did to save lives. And God will automatically direct you and teach you every step of the way.
