Part of what most secular Christians don't know about Buddha is that he DIDN't Say that there was no God.
What he did say was debating about whether there was a God or not was a complete waste of time and instead people should help each other not suffer so much.
So, when Christians or other religions say that Buddhists are Godless they have got it wrong. It's true Some Buddhists are Godless but Buddha himself NEVER Said that God doesn't exist, only that it is stupid and a waste of time to debate whether God exists or not.
People should help people not suffer and not just debate whether God exists or not. This is what Buddha Actually said.
