All technological revolutions including the 3rd one we are in both help mankind and kill some people at the same time

Note: this note written December 9th 2023: Basically, all technological and industrial revolutions both help and hurt mankind in various ways. This also includes the 3rd industrial revolution we are presently in the middle of because we are switching to electricity and using solar and natural gas a lot instead of Gasoline, Diesel and Coal.

But, it's important to realize things like: Electrical vehicles have 79% more problems (at least for now) than gasoline and Diesel Vehicles do. Why?

Because the technology is new and there are always unforeseen problems with any new technology. For example, when they added lead to gasoline it caused many many deaths and mental incapacitation and other health problems especially in children deep in cities next to large highways with traffic lights until they got rid of lead out of gasoline in  February of 1975. For example, the main reason I won't own an electric car or hybrid is that fact that they have 79% more problems mechanically and otherwise than gas or diesel cars or trucks. But, the other problem is Electrical radiation from the generators in Hybrids and the electric motors in all electric vehicles. So, what is this electrical radiation doing to the genetics and general well being of the children riding in these vehicles?

I cannot sufficiently answer this even though I have a cousin who owns the Tesla S and a Lexus Hybrid and loves them both and says he is old so even the electrical radiation likely won't affect him and his wife because they are so old already which might also be true.

However, I personally won't own an electrical vehicle until I have to mostly because of all the above and more. However, I likely would get a hybrid before I would get an all electric vehicle even though my wife thinks I should buy a Rivian Truck and then buy a gasoline generator for out in the woods with one. However, that's awful expensive and I still get 20 mpg with my Toyota Tundra 4 wheel drive truck. And my truck engine usually goes to 300,000 miles or more without being rebuilt. So, as long as your are maintaining something like this why change if you have something that still works good that you are used to and you like a lot?

Why would I get a hybrid first? Because most states outside of California, Oregon and Washington don't have enough charging stations for when you travel. Even my cousin won't travel in his Tesla for this reason and only drives it around Southern California for this reason.

So, charging stations are the best reason not to own an Electric Vehicle (UNLESS) you only use it in California, Oregon and Washington and then Fly everywhere else and rent a car or take a taxi there.

end note.

Here is something I wrote about the 3rd industrial revolution that seems to be popular right now in how many people are visiting this article:

The main problem with the 3rd industrial revolution?

The main problem I see it toxicity.

For example, if you make things out of plastics and then discard them they don't rust away eventually like cars do and car engines might if they are not aluminum. Because aluminum since there are only limited quantities of it on earth is often recycled over and over again including any aluminum parts on cars and aluminum cans etc.

So, the cancer causing effects of discarding plastic in the environment of both plastics as well as the toxicity of the new types of batteries used in priuses and teslas when replaced they could leach down into the water tables and poison them.

So, the poisoning of local waters and soils might be the biggest problem I foresee presently from the 3rd Industrial revolution.

Also, I don't see the 3rd industrial revolution as similar to the other two because they don't lend themselves to mass production facilities (YET). They lend themselves to infinite customization of literally everything built from planes to boats to robots built at home to anything literally that you can think of including 3d printed food for fun and profit.

But, in regard to plastics and batteries both of these things toxify the environment IF they are thrown away and left to leach into soils or oceans or lakes or rivers or aquifers worldwide. Also, in producing many of these materials and finished products they also will tend to pollute the air too and people will die of this.

So, for convenience and customization you are sacrificing the environment that you live in and giving more and more people cancer from toxic substances.

However, every other industrial revolution caused other problems to the health of the masses as well as this one does.
