The October 7th Attack in some ways to me is similar to 9-11 here in the U.S.

How? In that we knew that there were plans to do something big. They had already tried to blow up the World Trade Center from the base and failed because their charges were not big enough to bring down the World Center Towers before this. Also, Osama Bin Laden was a trained engineer and so he likely did stress tests to see what could happen if he did this.

Likewise, the U.S. Government knew something big was coming terrorist wise but didn't know for sure when it would occur.

In both the U.S. case of 9-11 and the Israeli case of October 7th the main problem was the arrogance of policy makers and security planners and the inability to think (outside the box) of ordinary things that had already happened.

For example, who would have thought that Hamas soldiers would fly in at 50 to 100 feet on Motorized paragliders with a pilot and a gunnner carrying a Kalashnikov automatic weapons while missiles flew just 100 feet or so over their heads while all this was happening as a cover for what was actually going on. The missiles were shot over the heads of the men on the Motorized para-glider. By going under the radar of the Israeli forces by flying so low and simultaneously firing rockets to cover the entrance of the Paragliders you can see how all this was accomplished. Then they used heavy equipment to bring down any electric fences or barriers between Gaza and Israel.

Likewise, before 9-11 who would have thought of (except for deviant thinking terrorists) of turning passenger planes into Jet Fuel Bombs or missiles and flying 2 of them into the World Center buildings and one into the Pentagon?

So, October 7th is Israel's 9-11 is what I'm saying here. Very similar effect on both countries except that in Israel it might cost the very existence of Israel for a variety of reasons. Also, Hamas or other terrorist groups might try something like this again under cover of missiles with a powerful effect at any time too in the future.

This is likely that worst thing that has happened to Israel since it started in 1948 in May.
