Yes. Arcane because of his galactic Connections was told about a secret switch on the Time Saucer that Eisenhower bought in the 1950s. Even the previous humanoid pilots didn't know about this switch but it had to be tripped so they didn't just stay on the first timeline and watch every one die pretty much and watch civilization completely end after 9-11 on the first timeline. So, when the ship hit this timeline change it automatically went to timeline two because Arcane had tripped this switch to automatically shift them to timeline 2 because no one (except for the Galactic Time Guard and His Oneness was supposed to know about timeline 2 until it actually happened and maybe not even then.
If you don't understand what I'm saying it is that Captain Forward and Lieutenant Back left from Mt. Shasta in 1992 during the summer when I witnessed them time travel in 1992. So, as they crossed time into 9-11-01 the ship was automatically programmed to take them to Timeline 2 by Arcane when they crossed this barrier in time.
