Computer chip technologies are not sustainable

What I mean by this is that anything that has a computer chip on board is vulnerable to EMP. What is EMP? Electromagnetic Pulse. EMP comes from Solar Flares or Nuclear blasts. For example, a large solar flare like the one in 1859 called the Carrington event might fry some or all computer chips on Earth facing the Solar Flare as it happens. If the flare were long lasting enough it is also theoretically possible that ALL computer chips on earth exposed to this flare could fry and  be useless instantly.

Also, the U.S. Military and others have 100 megaton Hydrogen bombs and if even one of them was detonated above the U.S., Russia, China, or Europe at 100 miles up it wouldn't directly kill a lot of people from nuclear radiation in that nation but what it would do is everything electrical from computer chips, to electronic memory to batteries in cars to generators in cars and electrical motors everywhere would melt along with power lines and everyone within 12 feet of ANYTHING metal would likely die from something resembling lightning coming off that metal from the EMP. So, literally everyone within 12 feet of anything metal would likely die in that nation. But, for those left alive nothing electrical would work anymore unless you brought something undamaged as an electrical contrivance from another country.

The problem here is that something like this only has to happen once and all cell phones, Ipads, laptop computers, cars, trucks, ships, planes and anything else with computer chips on board would no longer work. Period.

So, when I say computer chip technologies are not sustainable I mean they are not books made out of paper that might withstand temperatures and humidity that computer chip technologies might not.

So, now imagine 20 to 50 years from now when most people don't even learn to drive a car or motorcycle anymore because the things drive themselves and most people look up literally anything they want to know on Wikipedia, Youtube, or something like that and one day all that's gone either completely on earth because there has been another 1859 type of solar flare that lasted long enough for one revolution (24 hours) while the planet spun all the way around and literally every computer chip on earth was fried. What does everyone do? They are not being prepared for this and such an event could bring about the first stage of a return to being cave men and cave women or just a return to a World War II type of environment on earth once again.

So, when I say computer chip technologies are not sustainable I mean they are too vulnerable for us to trust only magnetic media through a  big enough solar storm or an EMP caused by one or more 100 megaton hydrogen bombs going off at 100 miles above the U.S. Europe, Russia, China or wherever.

Books with paper suddenly seem quite important to the ongoing survival of the human race don't they?

Also, it is not if but WHEN instead for this EMP occurence from either the Sun or from a nuclear blast or locally from a military or criminal generated EMP at literally any time in the future from now on.

If a whole nation were completely dependent on computer chips everything would stop if a large enough EMP happened. Also, I was thinking today that what if no one was driving their car because they were all self driving and all chips in the U.S. for example went out the same moment. I'm not sure the U.S. could actually recover from that many people in the U.S. dying at once in their self driving cars because everyone who was going 70 when this happened likely would be dead within the next few  moments after the decision making chips went out.

And the further into the future and more dependent we become on computer chips the more likely it would end technological civilization and potentially return those who survived to the stone age.
