I would say he is not exactly like Hitler because Hitler was not a successful businessman like Trump worth billions.
But, what DO they have in common?
Likely the biggest thing is they both promised impossible things.
For example, Hitler's election slogan was "A chicken in every pot and a Volkswagon in every garage"
What is Trump's slogan: "Make America Great Again!"
But, from my point of view America is still great it just has been through a great deal since 9-11.
As good as things were economically under Bill Clinton as President they have been the opposite of that under Bush. And things may never get back to the 90s again simply because of Global Climate change, Globalization, and a new Technological Singularity starting.
So, Is Trump Hitler?
Likely no.
He is something new, a new version of someone like Hitler this time showing up in the U.S. which is really different.
If he were elected could he realistically fulfill any one of his promises as president?
No. Not one. Unless he declared himself Hitler or Emperor and disbanded the Congress and the Supreme Court.
BEING HITLER IN THE U.S. would be the ONLY WAY TRUMP COULD DO ANYTHING AT ALL AS PRESIDENT!
Why is this?
Because rank and file Elected Republicans almost all hate him and wish he were gone or dead.
So, they will not support ANY of his policies if he were elected President.
It would be exactly like if he were elected as a complete independent. He would have no power whatsoever over Congress because most elected Republicans hate him except a very few.
So, who is supporting Trump?
Mostly those who have not been past High school or even that who are old or new rank and file unelected Republicans.
So, his election would actually create a really bad power vacuum for Trump as President unless he crowned himself Emperor.
