Trade Protectionism might be the Only way to save our Middle Class

I was thinking seriously about this today and realized that trade protectionism might be the ONLY way to save the middle Class in the U.S.

Business would not like this nor would stockholders of businesses. But, if you don't protect our middle class our form of government and way of life could end within 5 to 10 years at this point which is why so many people are supporting Trump because they see this reality.

It's not that Trump can solve these problems, it's that people see our country and government moving towards becoming a 3rd world government in a variety of ways.

So, what I'm seeing is that trade protectionism might be the Only way to keep our system of government, our middle class, and our way of life by keeping out cheaper products from outside our country so people here can have a job and live and survive in a middle class life. Otherwise, our American way of life is ending now.

Originally I wanted to write what is good and bad about Social Democracy AND Trade protectionism until I realized that the Geopolitical position of the U.S. would NOT allow the U.S. to become a Social Democracy without all the other social democracies being collapsed by Russia or China over time.

So, literally the only way to keep a large military as a counterbalance to Russia and China and Terrorists is to have trade protectionism against all products coming into the U.S. which is something Trump Advocates or is leaning towards.

So, what I'm saying here is that the World Could not survive the U.S. as a Social Democracy without the whole world becoming a single Dictatorship which would eventually cause human extinction.
