Is this the begining of another world war?

We seem to be entering a type of World War scenario. The signs were unmistakable of at the very least a new Cold War in Syria because of the way this was dealt with. If I were to give a single cause for the problems now being dealt with it would be "Too many people, too corrupt governments and not enough resources" worldwide.

When people can't get enough resources to maintain their lives they start stealing from others and killing them for their resources. Whether it is investors in the whole world stealing resources from countries all around the world or whether it is countries stealing from one another like Putin is stealing the life and freedom of the Ukrainians as well as their possessions and military equipment, it is all the same thing in the end.

It causes many people to die or to commit suicide because they just don't have enough to go on. It creates people into criminals who once were honest just so they can survive. It creates Warlords like Putin who steal for their nation and a praised by their people for stealing the lives and possessions of others in other countries.

Because of the corruption within the old Soviet Union and the corruption in the new Russia, Russia was incapable of just joining the world in the 20th and now 21st centuries. So, for Russia to be happy with it's present set of circumstances they will have to steal resources (first from the oil barons of Russia like they already did and put at least one in jail who recently got out and moved to Switzerland). Now, they are stealing back land that was once a part of Russia. So, stealing the resources of others is how Russia and Putin sees it's way clear to a better future.

Because in the end Russia is just too corrupt to succeed with western Capitalism and a Western Democracy without a whole lot more history and experience of rooting out corruption in their culture.

So, we are faced with a western world with 21st century business practices and governance and a Russia and to some degree a China that are still living in the dark ages in regard to human rights and getting rid of corruption within their governments. And this also may be leading us into a World War scenario with or without nuclear weapons being used at this point.

Because there is no way England or Germany or France will be taken over again without using their nuclear weapons. Enough said.

Later: My question would be: "Is there some kind of way to prevent another world war kind of scenario at present? I think that's hard to say at this point because of the way things are presently going.

Wars are always based upon precedents and so far we might have moved too far from where we were to go back now. We can blame Putin for this but in the end it is all about resources worldwide and it is about corruption and greed and taking what one wants at this point by Russia. And right now, Putin is supported by enough Russians in taking back parts of the Russian Empire to make that happen with or without sanctions because Russia might not see joining the free market as a long term useful thing to do with their present more corrupt economic system still in place. So, that creates sort of like a Giant North Korea out of Russia that would be isolated like Hitler became isolated and like the Soviet Union and China became isolated when they chose Communist totalitarianism.

One could blame this upon what happened when the old system completely destroyed the Russian ecology and reduced markedly the lifespans of Russians by so doing. One could blame this upon the corruption within the Russian government of the last 10 years. But really, it goes back at least 100 years or more. So, what is happening now (at least as far as Russia is concerned at present) might be the ONLY choice Putin thinks he has left to stay in power in Russia.

Though China is corrupt too, they have been more successful in using Capitalism to their advantage than Russia has because of their past cultures of Capitalism in the past 6000 years. Part of the reason Russia has not been as successful with capitalism is the Czars ruled Russia with an Iron fist in their culture so there wasn't the economic freedom that the Chinese often had in the past in their culture. So, it isn't surprising given what happened in the history of Russia the last 500 years or so that this is happening now. Russia is still growing and changing and evolving out of a lot of very difficult experiences they have been through the last 500 years. Capitalism after the Soviet Union and Czars was likely a bridge to far to expect them to compete with the western world at their own game. So, as a result this is what we have now to live with. All of us together on this Earth have to figure out a way through this without nuking the whole earth completely out of existence once again.
