Mid 60s my parents got a color TV because they finally got good enough to buy one by early to mid 60s. We wanted to watch the Virginian, Star Trek, the Smothers Brothers and Laugh In with Goldie Hawn and Lily Tomlin and others.
These were people's favorite shows along with things like the Ed Sullivan Show, The Red Skelton Show and many others.
